Mary-Kate Mackey Wins Four GWA Silver Media Awards
Each year, GWA—The Association of Garden Communicators—presents their Silver Media Awards. These national awards recognize people who achieve the highest levels of talent and professionalism in garden communications. Recipients of the Silver Medal represent the top winners in each of the 61 competition categories and go on to compete for best of group in the areas of writing, photography, digital media, broadcast media, and publishing.
As Kirk Brown, President of GWA says, “The Media Award winners have been judged by industry experts and have shown significant distinction and merits that exemplify exceptional work.”
So I was thrilled and honored to receive four 2017 Silver Medals of Achievement for my writing work. The projects included three articles and a blog series—“Design to Share” for Country Gardens; “Opposites Attract—A Pacific Northwest garden embraces competing demands with grace and style” and “Small Trees Play a Big Role,” both for Outdoor Spaces; and "Rooting for You" a Hartley-Botanic Greenhouses blog.
Thank you GWA for the recognition!
